I’ve had some great experiences over the last 14 years in broadcasting. It began in a little town in Texas in 2008. San Angelo. I spent 19 months there, working in television (KLST-TV), doing MiLB play-by-play (San Angelo Colts), then working for a radio station (Foster Communications) doing HS and College play-by-play, a little sports talk, and even sales. I couldn't have asked for a better small market to begin my career.
In 2010 I was off to Oklahoma City to call Triple-A baseball with the OKC RedHawks. To go from calling unknowns in Independent baseball to saying names that I’d watched in the big leagues was an unforgettable opportunity. Chris Davis played 1st base, who went on to hit 50 home runs with Baltimore shortly thereafter. Madison Bumgarner once made short work of OKC, throwing to Buster Posey who both went on to win the World Series in 2010 with the Giants. Posey securing ROY.
In 2011, San Diego was calling me. I joined XTRA 1360 for the next 10 years. I was fortunate enough to spend a majority of my time in Morning and Afternoon drive, host NFL pre and post game shows, sideline reporting, pbp, coaches shows, etc. The lead story of the last decade is undoubtedly the relocation of the San Diego Chargers. It will be remembered as one of the worst decisions ever made by an owner.
My wife, son, and I have recently relocated to Chicago. We are so excited to begin the new journey.
